Over 10,000 visitors came to Transports Public 2014, the European Mobility Exhibition, held from June 10-12 in Paris. Thank you all for being there and giving a further boost to this dynamic sector. Once again this year, the Exhibition has been an opportunity to bring together stakeholders from across Europe, discussing key issues and vital innovations to benefit passengers and nurture modal transfer.
The exhibition featured nine roundtable debates, all with packed audiences and with contributions from central figures in the business, including elected officials and company heads; twelve Experts’ Forum presentations; and the Moving Together conference, organised with UITP and boasting speakers from several continents – all of which confirms the event’s role as a driving force in policies promoting sustainable mobility. The women and men who make public transport work on a daily basis were represented too, with the Innovation Awards and Talent in Mobility award presentations; the Golden Bus contest – in which over fifty drivers from across Europe competed; and the ‘First Job’ forum, where a large number of students were able to meet recruiters from firms exhibiting at Transports Publics.
Our thanks also go to the international delegations from China, Japan, Sweden and elsewhere, and to our guest of honour – the City of Curitiba in Brazil and its transport network URBS, adding their special touch to the exhibition and offering visitors an encouraging view of international markets.
We look forward to seeing you all again at our next major trade event: the National Public Transport Conference, to be held in Lyon, September 30-October 2, 2015.
