RHONEXPRESS concessionnary company of the express shuttle that will connect Lyon downtown to Lyon Saint Exupery Aeroport, starting 9th august 2010.
The RhonExpress contractors were granted the concession contract by the Rhone Department for a 30 years period. The public private partnership (DBFO design build finance operate) was chosen to meet the important stake of this innovating project.
It is the first concession for a railway infrastructure in France. This new shuttle is scheduled to run every 15 minutes, and will offer a personalized welcome on board, as well as comfortable fittings and a guaranteed travel time, due to the rolling stocks designed to drive at the maximum speed of 100km/hour.
